Our client is seeking a Junior Functional Safety Engineer for a Perth based role. This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate with a few years' experience within mining to specialise in Functional Safety and Risk Assessment. The organisation offers training, development and career progression within an expanding field.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Engineering degree (Electrical, mechanical, control systems)
• Experience within the mining industry, preferable iron ore
• An understanding of electrical schematics
• Keen attention to detail and highly analytical
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Site experience
• Genuine interest in functional safety

Duties & Responsibilities

• Interpret and work with electrical schematics and engineering documentation
• Assist in preparing clear and detailed technical reports and safety documentation
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and functional safety studies across mining projects,
• Engage in training programs and professional development to grow technical expertise in functional safety and risk engineering
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in functional safety processes and system
