Mechanical Reliability Engineer
• Location: Brisbane-based PMO with potential FIFO to site
• Contract: 3 months contract
• Salary: $1,500 per day
Role Opportunity
Step in as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to support a mining operation while the resident engineer is on leave. Your role will focus on maintaining reliability strategies for key fixed plant assets, ensuring smooth operations and preventing backlog issues. Work primarily from Brisbane with some FIFO to site as required.
Benefits

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience in mechanical reliability engineering in mining or heavy industry
• Hands-on FMECA development expertise
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and dewatering systems
• Ability to work independently and deliver under minimal supervision
• Immediate availability required
Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct reliability analysis on fixed plant equipment and dewatering systems
• Develop and implement FMECA strategies to optimize equipment performance
• Monitor and assess asset health using predictive maintenance techniques
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions
• Liaise with site teams to ensure equipment uptime and reliability targets are met
• Provide technical guidance on underground and surface dewatering systems
• Support short-term planning for maintenance and asset management strategies
