Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a significant portfolio of decarbonisation initiatives and sustaining capital projects within the iron ore sector. The role will be based in their Perth head office and will involve the design and execution of electrical systems across major bulk materials handling infrastructure.

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a significant portfolio of decarbonisation initiatives and sustaining capital projects within the iron ore sector. The role will be based in their Perth head office and will involve the design and execution of electrical systems across major bulk materials handling infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage E&I design for large-scale iron ore infrastructure including crushers, feeders, conveyors, stackers, and hoppers.
- Coordinate cross-functional design activities and documentation to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, reports, drawings, and other engineering documentation.
- Provide mentoring and direction to a team of junior and mid-level electrical engineers and designers.
- Engage in regular communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment across engineering, construction, and project management teams.
- Deliver technical input for construction scopes and assist with field queries or design clarifications during implementation phases.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Australian Standards and client-specific procedures.
About You:
- Electrical and instrumentation design background, ideally within the resources or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong technical expertise in HV/LV systems, instrumentation, and control systems associated with iron ore processing infrastructure.
- Experience with major mining clients and systems, with a preference for those who have worked within Rio Tinto, BHP, or FMG frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Willingness to attend occasional site visits as required.
