About the Role
As a Software Developer/Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, functionality, and performance of software applications. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and address system needs, optimise existing processes, and contribute to high-quality software development.
This opportunity is based in Brisbane, but there is also opportunities in other cities across Australia
Key Responsibilities
• Research, consult, analyse, and evaluate system program needs to develop software solutions.
• Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems, and implement improvements.
• Test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults in applications programming languages.
• Write and maintain program code that meets system requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on software strategies, including financial evaluations and cost estimations.
• Recommend software purchases and upgrades based on system needs and business objectives.
Key Criteria
To be considered a successful candidate you should possess the following.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least five years of relevant experience in software development.
• Strong coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills across multiple programming languages.
• Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance and support.
