About the Role

A leading national firm is seeking Survey Technicians and Senior Survey Technicians to join their team and contribute to major projects across Australia. These roles offer the opportunity to work on diverse projects in infrastructure, energy, construction, land development, and more, leveraging the latest surveying technologies and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in conducting field surveys and data collection under the guidance of surveyors and senior surveyors.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments, including GNSS, total stations, and laser scanners.
• Process and analyse survey data using specialised software to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of maps, plans, and spatial data models.
• Support in setting out and marking reference points for construction and land development projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless execution and problem-solving.
• Follow strict health, safety, and environmental guidelines while working in the field.
Key Criteria
To be considered a successful candidate you should possess the following.
• Diploma or relevant qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science Technology.
• Must have experience in Engineering Set-outs
• Experience with surveying equipment such as GNSS, total stations, and laser scanners.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or other spatial data software (preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data collection and processing.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow technical instructions.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to develop technical knowledge.
• Understanding of Australian surveying and spatial science standards (preferred but not essential).
