About the Role

Key Criteria

As the successful candidate for the role of Area Manager NPI, you will meet the following criteria:

• Effectively manage NPI scopes through EPC project phases through to successful completion. This may entail supply packages, design & supply packages, and installation contract packages for the Civil discipline.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to ensure successful project delivery, including change management and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
• Act as primary technical co-ordination interface with client to ensure that the client's expectations are satisfied.
• Ensure the project conforms to the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
• Can effectively contribute or produce execution plans and strategies for projects and manage commercial outcomes.
• Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to project team.
• Manages scope, cost, schedule for the defined area of responsibility, and ensures change management is applied.
• Participates in Constructability, Operability and Maintainability Workshops.
• Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
• Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
• Project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and analyzed.
• Tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
• Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress and develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
• Good understanding of Project Control Reports and identified problem areas.
• Effectively communicates and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management.
• A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Eligible for Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM) certification or equivalent.
