Essential Qualifications & Skills
We're looking for an accomplished mining executive with:
- Proven Leadership: 15+ years of progressive experience in mining operations, including leadership roles overseeing multiple sites or commodities.
- Strategic Vision: A track record of managing complex operations, delivering growth, and achieving long-term objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Operational Excellence: Strong knowledge of mining processes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Financial Acumen: Experience managing operational budgets, optimising costs, and delivering strong financial results.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stake holders.
- Innovative Mind set: A passion for integrating new technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of mining operations, including processing plants, logistics, and associated infrastructure.
- Drive operational efficiency, production optimisation, and cost control while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board to execute strategic growth plans, including expansions, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Champion sustainability and ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and community requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with key stake holders, including government bodies, indigenous groups, and local communities.
- Lead and mentor high-performing operational teams, promoting diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
