Job description
We are looking to recruit an ambitious Civil Engineer for an expanding client based in the Gold Coast.
Our client is a leading engineering consultancy who provide a wide range of engineering and design solutions across various sectors; including civil, structural, environmental, and project management. They have a client first' mindset with a reputation for innovation, technical excellence, and delivering high-quality projects, and are committed to supporting the sustainable growth of community and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and oversee civil engineering projects, including roads, subdivisions, stormwater management, and water supply systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and technical reports.
• Manage and coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are met.
• Utilise engineering software to produce high-quality designs, knowledge of 12D, Civil 3D & AutoCAD.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in road, subdivision, or stormwater projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local government and industry standards.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is a plus.
