We are looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to work on a Queensland based mining project and be based in Brisbane.

Job & Project Summary:
The project comprises of a greenfield copper concentrator. As part of the existing team, you
will collaborate to plan, develop, coordinate, and review project civil/structural design work.
You will produce drawings, facilitate discussions, communicate complex technical issues, and prepare civil/structural design estimates and work plan.
Your recommendations will ensure designs and work plans are in accordance with project scope, schedule, budget, regulations, and standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Plans, develops, directs, and participates in the day-to-day Civil/Structural engineering activity on medium to large sized complex projects that require very major Civil/Structural engineering effort, or may be assigned responsibility for multiple smaller projects within a global business unit utilising relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides.
• Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of Civil/Structural engineering personnel assigned, estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work accordingly.
• Maintains continuous contact with work in progress by reviewing or approving steel and concrete calculations, design documents, supplier drawings and data, material requisitions, and change orders, developed by the project groups and reviewed by the discipline staff.
• Provides the technical input to meet procurement requirements.
• Develops project Design Control Check List and Design Review Notices
• Other responsibilities as designated.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Demonstrated experience as a Civil Engineer, preferably within mining and metals industry
• Considered highly skilled and proficient in Civil Engineering discipline
• Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialisation, resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
• RPEQ - Preferred
