About the Role
Are you a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental specialist with a strong focus on compliance? Join a well-established team where you will be responsible to ensure that the lithium operations adhere to all environmental laws and regulations, implementing sustainable practices, and mitigating environmental risks. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for environmental protection.
Key Criteria
As the successful candidate for the role of Compliance Specialist, you will meet the following criteria;
• Ensure the company complies with all relevant environmental regulations and standards (local, state, and federal) specific to lithium extraction and processing.
• Monitor changes in environmental legislation and update company policies and procedures accordingly.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit required environmental reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Respond to environmental emergencies and incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
• Maintain and update environmental emergency response plans.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as regulatory affairs, chemistry, biology, or engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in the environmental industry.
• Certification in environmental management (e.g., ISO 14001) is a plus.
• Delivering approvals EPBC, EP Act part IV&V, Mining act and international regulations.
