The Role
The Isolations and Permit Officer will Support commissioning by preparing and coordinating Permits of Isolation and Boundary Isolations in line with project procedures and client work practices. You will also conduct the following:
- - Apply procedures, drawings, and established practices to all isolation tasks effectively.
- - Ensure that all permits are clear, consistent with work requirements, and properly aligned.
- - Assist with the training of Personal Isolation Officers, perform regular inspections in the field, and implement plans for permits and isolations during both shutdowns and daily operations.
- - Conduct audits of electrical and mechanical isolations to verify compliance with regulatory standards.
- - Build and sustain strong working relationships with contractors, HSE teams, and supervisors.
- - Identify potential hazards, manage strategies to mitigate risks, and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Criteria
As an experienced Isolations and Permit Officer you will have the following:
- Trade Qualified with a WA Electrician's license
- Proven experience in a similar Permit Officer role, within the Mining Industry.
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction and commissioning environment.
- Ability to organise, establish priorities, and instill confidence among team members
