Are you a skilled Civil Engineer with a passion for water and wastewater infrastructure?
Our client is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to play a key role in designing and delivering innovative solutions for the water industry. They are seeking a dynamic and motivated engineer to contribute to detailed design projects, site investigations, and project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive designs, calculations, and specifications for civil infrastructure projects in the water and wastewater industry.
• Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules. Manage design schedules and cost controls for design packages.
• Assist in preparing proposals and tender submissions to provide professional services to our clients.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and supervision of works, including local and interstate travel as needed.
Key Experience:
• 7+ years of proven experience in civil infrastructure, specifically in water and wastewater engineering.
• Expertise in pump station and pipeline design, hydraulics/modelling, and design management.
• Familiarity with local design codes and standards (SEQCode, WSAA, Australian Standards).
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and related programs.
• Desirable skills in AutoCAD, Civils3D, 12D, Navisworks, and hydraulic modelling for water and sewage systems.
• Experience in planning, feasibility studies, and detailed design within the water and wastewater sector.
About you:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• RPEQ & CPEng - Prefered
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• A client-focused approach with a dedication to delivering high-quality service.
• Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing project demands and varying workloads.
• Team player with effective collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
