About the Job:
We're seeking a talented Principal Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in Perth for an exciting project within the Oil and Gas industry. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving and delivering safe and sustainable electrical design on a project moving into the execution phase. The project focuses on converting an existing brownfield site into a renewable fuels site, making it a unique and innovative opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Undertake engineering design and technical verification of project deliverables.
• Proactively address safety hazards and risks associated with the project.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and documentation.
• Facilitate Safety in Design risk assessments and participate in project reviews.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage packages interfacing with contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate engineering tasks, maintain technical integrity, and ensure quality and consistency.
• Report progress, resolve technical issues, and follow client processes.

Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary qualification within Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Extensive experience as a Lead or Principal Electrical Engineer
• Strong technical skillset and ability to work across multiple work fronts.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience across all project phases from feasibility to execution.
• Proficiency in brownfield interfaces, HV and LV systems, power distribution, etc.
• Site experience including construction and commissioning.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Hazardous Area Accreditation/ Functional Safety certification.
