About the role:

• Project Engineer - Approx 3 years experience required for a large scale stainless steel tanks package associated to a large mining project. Will also be working across other diverse resource projects
• Leading company that designs, manufactures, commissions and services customised plant and system for a wide range of industries in the energy and resource sectors.
• The project is expected to be 18 months in duration and then the intention is to mobilise onto other projects.
• Support the Project Manager and Project Engineer with the dellivery of engineering and project tasks
• Assisting in the review of drawings, completing technical queries, P&IDs, reports and tracking progress
• Work with internal teams to achieve a effective transition from tender win to project completion
• Assisting in defining the scope of work.
• Following GATE process, define & deliver to milestones.
• Closely manage budgets & deliver Gross Margin ambition.
• Document review
• Able to communicate ideas and make decisions
• Develop Documentation/Manuals.

Key Criteria

• Engineering degree or relevant experience in a manufacturing/heavy industry environment
• Approx 2 - 3 years experience as a Project Engineer
• General fabrication project experience beneficial
• Ability to communicate plans effectively and confidently internally/externally (including negotiations).
• Able to review drawings, completing technical queries, P&IDs, reports and track progress
• Understanding of budgets, schedules and forecast
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to read and understand engineering plans, fabrication drawings and client specifications.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and challenges in a measured, constructive way.
• Understand and manage risks (mitigation plans).
• Able to work well independently and support the Projet Manager & Project Engineer
• Strong stakeholder skills
• Able to prioritise effectively.
