Senior Civil Engineer possessing strong technical design engineering experience to work on mining and resource projects.
Benefits:
- Initial 12 month contract with strong chance of extension,
- Perth CBD based. Competitive hourly rate offered.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Formal Civil Engineering qualifications that are recognised by Engineers Australia
- Previous consultant engineering background
- Resources industry background required
- Strong with bulk earthworks design, drainage and pavement design
- Good understanding of budgets and schedules
- Excellent stakeholder skills and the ability to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong reporting and project documentation skills
- Able to guide Junior Engineers and liaise with different teams
- Excellent safety attitude and knowledge of industry guidelines
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the technical delivery of all civil related elements; haul roads/access roads, drainage, retaining walls, laydown and hardstands, and general civil design around processing plant.
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.
- Technical supervision of junior engineers;
- Cross disciplinary coordination
- Liaise with the client & various project stakeholders
