About the Role

As a Senior Contract Specialist, responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment, materials, and third-party contract services procurement, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Provide guidance and support to supply chain team members in negotiating terms and conditions, drafting special conditions, and developing procurement strategies for project scopes. Collaborate with various departments to input project estimates and schedules, incorporating HSE considerations where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and issuance of comprehensive tender packages, manage the tender process, and review submissions, negotiating any exceptions to terms and conditions.
  • Prepare recommendations for contract awards and draft contracts/purchase orders, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Maintain procurement data systems and manage supplier and contractor documentation to meet contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of specified services, monitor contractor/supplier performance, and handle invoicing, change negotiations, claims management, and contract closeouts.
  • Support expediting and material control processes, including delivery and receipting of equipment/materials to client facilities where applicable.
  • Regularly interface with the client's team and fulfil reporting obligations.
Key Criteria:

  • Commitment to HSE standards in project settings.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Law. Alternatively, degrees in supply chain, business administration, quantity surveying, or construction management are acceptable with significant experience in negotiating and drafting contracts.
  • Accreditation such as MCIPS/RIQS is beneficial.
  • Extensive experience in contracts and procurement within EPCM/EPC organisations.
  • Proven track record in developing procurement strategies and negotiating contract terms.
  • Ability to prioritise in complex, multi-project situations.
  • Effective communication skills, including presenting proposals to senior management.
  • Capable of leading project teams and providing guidance to department staff.
  • Proficiency in project and procurement software systems, with a disciplined approach to data management.
