Senior Control Systems Engineer

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and execution of control system projects across various commodities, contributing to both greenfield and brownfield initiatives. Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in Australian mining or heavy industrial projects, including systems integrator, OEM, or EPCM environments.
  • Proficiency in PLC and SCADA programming (e.g. Rockwell, Schneider, GE/Emerson, Citect, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware).
  • Experience in bulk materials handling, mineral processing, or mobile machinery (stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders).
  • Knowledge of IT/OT network design, virtualised environments, and programming (e.g. VBA, Python, Powershell).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver control system designs, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Lead and participate in commissioning, optimisation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Help mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and task allocation.
  • Engage with clients to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards throughout all project stages.
