Job description

Job Overview:
Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of experience in mining, proficiency in PLCs and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, AVEVA/Citect), and strong control system design skills. Functional Safety and materials handling experience are preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare project documents: specs, architecture, testing, and commissioning.
  • Develop PLC software, conduct testing, and manage on-site commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Lead control system design, adhering to project scope.
  • Assist with project deliverables across all phases.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and vendor testing.
  • Short-term on-site commissioning as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Mining and minerals processing experience, particularly wet processing.
  • Iron Ore Wet Plant design/operations experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in PLCs and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, AVEVA/Citect preferred).
  • Familiarity with control protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC, ProfNet).
  • PLC software development (RS Logix & Unity preferred).
  • Knowledge of electrical LV design and documentation.
  • Functional safety and instrument selection experience (preferred).
  • Additional experience with Schneider, GE, and Siemens PLCs is a plus.
