As a Senior Electrical Designer, your main responsibility is to lead and ensure safe and sustainable electrical design delivery for diverse sustaining capital projects. A significant portion of the projects will involve brownfield aspects, emphasizing the importance of robust design skills in those environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver design and drafting services meeting client and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure project scope clarity and compliance with change management processes.
- Oversee engineering drawings and documentation production.
- Maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Participate in project reviews and support scoping and estimating design budgets.
- Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Provide technical direction and supervision when leading projects.
- Manage quality, consistency, and resources within the discipline.
- Resolve technical issues and coordinate with other disciplines.
Key Criteria:
- Recognised design qualification (Advanced Diploma) or relevant Electrical trade qualification.
- Significant design experience in the resources industry, with lead role exposure.
- Competency in AutoCAD, Microstation (2D & 3D), and relevant software.
- Expertise in selecting electrical equipment and designing deliverables.
- Experience with hazard area layouts will be highly regarded.
