Opportunity available for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering consultancy.
Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, your role will be pivotal to supporting the electrical team in designing and delivering mining and minerals processing projects. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including:
Responsibilities
- Preparing electrical designs, adhering to both Client specifications and Australian Standards
- Calculations including load flow, fault level, earthing, lightning risk assessments and maximum demand
- Review and approve electrical and instrumentation design drawings including SLDs, schematics, termination diagrams, loop diagrams
- Producing deliverables such as specifications, studies, scopes of work, procurement packages, dossiers
- Software development including Process Control Configuration, SCADA configuration and power modelling
- Project management activities including project planning, deliverable progress reporting
- Assist with construction and commissioning activities, including occasional site visits
More about you
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification
- RPEQ (or working towards)
- Previous multidisciplined-team experience
- Previous experience working on mining / minerals processing projects
- An understanding of Australian and industry codes and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
