About the Role
Opportunity available for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering consultancy, seconded to their client offices in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, you will be involved in the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls design of a gold recovery system for a tailings processing and rehabilitation project.

This role is offered on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. You will either be based in Jakarta, working in the client offices for 6 months, or on a 2:2 FIFO roster, working in the client offices in Jakarta for 2 weeks, then 2 weeks working from home.

Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, you will be involved in the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls design of a gold recovery system for a tailings processing and rehabilitation project.
Responsibilities
- Preparing electrical designs, adhering to both Client specifications and Australian Standards
- Calculations including load flow, fault level, earthing, lightning risk assessments and maximum demand
- Review and approve electrical and instrumentation design drawings including SLDs, schematics, termination diagrams, loop diagrams
- Producing deliverables such as specifications, studies, scopes of work, procurement packages, dossiers
- Project management activities including project planning, deliverable progress reporting
- Assist with construction and commissioning activities, including occasional site visits
More about you
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification
- RPEQ (or working towards)
- Previous multidisciplined-team experience
- Previous experience working on mining / minerals processing projects, ideally gold mines and/ or tailings
- An understanding of Australian and industry codes and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
