The Role
- As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for providing the following duties:
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform audits and evaluations of safety practices, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans tailored to the construction site and specific project activities.
- Collaborate with external agencies, clients, and stakeholders on health and safety matters.
- Track and analyse safety performance metrics, providing regular reports to management.
- Identify potential hazards specific to project work and develop effective mitigation strategies
Key Criteria
- A Successful Senior Safety Advisor for this role will have the following criteria:
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety management systems, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Tertiary Qualifications in OHS/WHS
- Lead ICAM Investigations
- Extensive experience in health and safety management in the construction sector
- Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and foster a positive safety culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective training and reporting.
