About the Role
• Underground Mine Geologist
• You will be reporting to the Geology Superintendent, this position will assist in helping the team to deliver targeted, high quality geological information
• This is a FIFO role from Perth or Brisbane working on 8/6 roster in Northern Territory
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and timely geological data collection, analysis, and interpretation to improve orebody knowledge
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to integrate key geological information into mine designs, schedules, and production activities
• Plan underground drill programs that are safe, efficient, and effective in obtaining the right technical data at the right time
• Oversee and optimise grade control and reconciliation systems to ensure efficient ore extraction while minimizing dilution and ore loss
• Ensure high standards of documentation and clear communication of relevant geological observations and subsequent interpretation
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions to improve geological processes and workflows
Key Criteria
• Underground mine geology experience - Gold experience preferred but not essential. Experience in base metals essential
• An overriding commitment to health, safety environmental responsibility and sustainable development
• Experience with Block Work, Structural Modelling and Logging
• Solid experience using Vulcan. Experience on Point Studio and Leapfrog will be an added advantage
• XRF-NT License will be an added advantage
• Solid understanding of operational mining cycles, grade control and reconciliation systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills the ability to build rapport and establish productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
