About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager or Lead Designer that thrives in a fast-paced and technically challenging project environment.
This is a great opportunity to lead and mentor a small multi-discipline team of designers working across multiple sustaining capital projects.
Duties:
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, lead the drafting team across Structural, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical disciplines.
- Ensuring that compliance and regulatory standards are adhered to and fit for purpose.
- Actively contribute to implementing design standards, processes and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular design reviews to evaluate progress, identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Liaise with key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Key Criteria:
- Extensive minerals processing design experience essential.
- Prior experience at Design Manager or Lead level having successful led multi-discipline teams.
- Previous experience successfully delivering sustaining capital projects highly regarded.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proficient in MicroStation.
