About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed design deliverables such as datasheets, specifications, and reports. You will review and assess mechanical vendor data and drawings to ensure scope clarity and manage any changes. Your role will also involve evaluating vendor equipment proposals and developing practical, fit-for-purpose solutions. Effective communication is key, as you will need to build and maintain strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders, and deliver presentations as required.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed design deliverables such as datasheets, specifications, and reports. You will review and assess mechanical vendor data and drawings to ensure scope clarity and manage any changes. Your role will also involve evaluating vendor equipment proposals and developing practical, fit-for-purpose solutions. Effective communication is key, as you will need to build and maintain strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders, and deliver presentations as required.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor Mechanical Engineering degree and relevant experience.
- Registration as a Mechanical Engineer with Engineers Australia.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present information clearly.
- Experience with pressure equipment design standards (ASME, Australian standards) and API standards is preferred.
- Previous experience with brownfield projects is advantageous.
- Practical experience in Mechanical & Piping disciplines.
- Willingness to travel for project requirements, including vendor facility visits.
- Competency with; Navisworks, Bluebeam / Adobe Suite, Aconex and Maximo is desirable.
- Australian working rights with no restrictions
