Principal Mechanical Engineer (Perth, CBD)
• $130 p/hr - $ 140 p/hr Inc of super
• Heavy focus on rotating equipment
• Tier 1 major local renewable project
About the Role:
Great opportunity on offer to take on a leadership position working with a global Tier 1 consultancy on a prominent local renewables conversion project.
Seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer with significant previous experience working with rotating equipment from either the hydrocarbon or renewable energy sectors.
Duties:
• Responsible for providing disciplines specific engineering services as well as encompassing technical support within the mechanical discipline.
• Perform discipline specific engineering services such as prepare and review the production of mechanical package deliverables.
• Manage and expedite vendors to deliver packages in accordance with scope of supply and the project schedule.
• Ensure the project scope is clear and identify changes to the scope as required in line with project change management.
• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between project stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively within the discipline team, with clients and other project stakeholders.
Key Criteria:
• Experience in rotating equipment package management including but not limited to;, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors and blowers.
• Greenfield and Brownfield engineering experience, hydrocarbon or renewable projects highly regarded.
• Pro-active, goal oriented and excellent attention to detail.
• Highly effective people skills; communication, team management and the ability to mentor.
