Role Opportunity
As a Site based Project Engineer, you will be working on a gold mine expansion project for a renowned tier-1 client. This opportunity involves managing the installation and commissioning of advanced underground materials handling systems, including conveyors, crushers, and piping networks. This role would suit a Mid to Senior level project engineer with relevant site-based experiences.


Benefits

• Work for a Tier 1 Owner/Operator
• Day rate of $1350 - $1500 (depending on experience)
• FIFO from Perth, Brisbane, or Darwin
• 2 & 2 roster, 12-hour days
• Full day paid while flying to and from site
• 12-month contract

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with materials handling equipment: gyrating crushers, conveyor systems, apron feeders, transfer stations, piping systems, etc
• Experience with completions, punch list, signing off ITP's, conducting walk downs, etc
• Minimum 5 years of Site based construction experience is essential
• Underground mining experience is preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical installation of underground material handling systems
• Oversee daily on-site activities to ensure installation progress aligns with project timelines and quality standards.
• Review, sign off, and ensure adherence to ITPs for all mechanical installations.
• Manage the completion process by addressing punch list items, conducting walkdowns, and ensuring all outstanding work is resolved to meet project requirements.
• Compile and validate all documentation for project handover, including as-built drawings, test results, and certifications.
• Liaise with contractors, supervisors, and the client to ensure clear communication of project progress and resolve any issues promptly.
• Ensure all activities comply with site safety protocols, relevant standards, and regulatory requirements.
